    Juanito de Barranco

20 minutes walk from Bereja Family Hostel is a place where you can taste the best pork sandwich in town. Featuring crisp, tart Pisco Sours and local craft beers, and run by Don Juan’s sons, this is a traditional Limeño bar (old tavern colonial) where you can meet musicians, writers, poets, actors and bohemian locals. The majority of the hottest artists in town gather here. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere can’t be beat.

    La Noche de Barranco

Located 20 minutes walking distance from our place, here you will find the best Pisco Sours and cocktails in town. This is the best place for live music and for meeting locals. La Noche de Barranco is full of bohemian Limeños and the perfect place for staying out late. Highly recommend for socializing and also they have their own Jukebox where you can play your favorite hits. Prices are reasonable and it’s a positive atmosphere.

    Sargento Pimienta Rock Bar

Just 5 minutes walk from our place, you can find the best ceviche in Barranco. La Chingana is run by our friend Erika, a wonderful chef. Her restaurant is a cozy place where you can enjoy the best fresh seafood and Peru’s most celebrated dish, Ceviche. Very reasonable prices and great service.

     El Tio Mario

Just a 15 minute walk from our place, the best Anticuchos (Beef Heart skewers) in Lima. Our second most typical dish after Ceviche and the most essential street food. Also the best Picarones (peruvian donuts) made of sweet potato and pumpkin served with fig honey. Run by a Christian family for decades, they started as a street vendor and grew into a lovely restaurant close to the Puente de los Suspiros (Bridge of Sighs). Reasonable prices and enchanting view of the sunset.
